From another country
Example: +880 22 2338 3366
Bangladesh uses country calling code +880. The BTRC plan builds a PSTN National Destination Code from an operator or destination-network prefix plus one of five geographic zone digits. For BTCL, operator digit 2 combines with zone digits 2, 3, 4, 5 and 9 to form the featured geographic NDCs 22, 23, 24, 25 and 29. A leading 0 is added for domestic long-distance dialling and removed after +880.
The plus sign represents the international access method used by your phone or network.
Example: +880 22 2338 3366
Example: 022 2338 3366
Domestic trunk or access rule: 0.
For a featured BTCL fixed line, dial domestic trunk 0 + the two-digit NDC + the eight-digit subscriber number. Remove only the initial 0 in international format: 022 becomes +880 22. Confirm the complete current number with the subscriber because legacy fixed-line numbers have been migrated in stages.
+880 routes a call to Bangladesh. A geographic area code then identifies a fixed-line numbering area or range. Do not create a duplicate global “880 area code” page for the same country-code intent.
Use a city page to see the applicable geographic code, format and regional limitations.
Under the BTRC 2017 plan, a standard PSTN national significant number contains 10 digits; the domestic long-distance form adds trunk prefix 0, while legacy numbers may remain during migration.
These pages cover the five complete BTCL geographic NDCs, not universal city codes. Other PSTN and IP-telephony operators combine their own network prefixes with the same zone structure and therefore use different NDCs. Each zone spans many districts, some administrative divisions cross numbering-zone boundaries, and migration from older local formats means a published address or business may still show a legacy number.
